David Paton was born in Edinburgh on 29th of October 1949. He is a Bassist, singer, writer, guitarist and producer. David Paton and Billy Lyall were the founder members of Pilot. David’s songs Magic, January and Just a smile were world wide hits in the 1970’s . David has been involved with some of the biggest names in music: Paul McCartney, Elton John, Rick Wakeman, Kate Bush, Pretenders, Jimmy Page and Camel, to name but a few.

David and his contagious smile has been presenting us with his songs for more than 5 decades.
